1. Who We Are
Boiling Student is owned and operated by Pavlov Reset Consulting Ltd, registered in the United Kingdom. Pavlov Reset Consulting Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data. Contact: team@boilingstudent.com
2. What Data We Collect
We collect personal data only when you choose to provide it. This happens when you submit an enquiry through the contact form on this website, or when you contact us directly by email. The data we collect includes your name, email address, and any information you choose to include in your message.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to respond to your enquiry and to deliver any services subsequently agreed. We do not use your data for marketing purposes, and we do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interest — specifically, to respond to enquiries you have initiated — and, where a service agreement is in place, on the basis of contractual necessity. Where we rely on your consent to process data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us at team@boilingstudent.com. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
5. How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was provided, or as required by law. Enquiry data is retained for no longer than 12 months if no service agreement follows. Where a service agreement is in place, personal data and all related correspondence, including confirmation emails, invoices, and payment records, are retained for a minimum of 6 years following the conclusion of that agreement, in accordance with UK contract law limitation periods under the Limitation Act 1980. Financial records, including invoices and payment correspondence, are retained for a minimum of 6 years from the end of the relevant tax year in which the transaction occurred, as required by HMRC. Where these periods overlap, the longer retention period applies.
6. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be shared with service providers who support our operations, such as email platforms, strictly for the purpose of delivering our services and under appropriate data protection agreements.
7. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers, including website and email platforms, may store or process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR, including reliance on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses approved by the ICO.
8. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the following rights in relation to your personal data: the right to access the data we hold about you; the right to request correction of inaccurate data; the right to request deletion of your data; the right to object to processing; the right to request restriction of processing; the right to data portability where processing is carried out by automated means; and the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at team@boilingstudent.com and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Right to Complain
If you believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns directly before you contact the ICO.
10. Cookies
This website uses cookies to support its functionality and may use analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with the site. Functional cookies are necessary for the website to operate. Analytics cookies collect information anonymously and help us improve the site. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time, though this may affect certain features of the website.
11. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours and inform affected individuals without undue delay.
12. ICO Registration
Pavlov Reset Consulting Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as required under UK data protection law.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention.
14. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
